Kia ora (Hello).
I'm Stella, a local māori, born in Aotearoa (NZ) and raised by my grandparents in Waitangi, Bay of Islands. My passion is in protecting and preserving the forest and the native and endemic species of our country. I'm a professional trapper and a volunteer for a charitable pest control organisation, Bay Bush Action Trust, here in the Bay of Islands. Come with me and I'll show you around my home.
It's my intention to make you feel welcome and safe while I show you around.
The seed that grew Papatūānuki (Earth Mother) tours has been growing in my heart over the years. It's such a beautiful story that I can hardly wait to tell you about it.
The story is a special one...a journey of unfolding events that has lead up to the day when Papatūānuki, Earth Mother Tours has made itself known to people from the four corners of the world (ngā hau e wha)...but...
Creatures were uplifted from their country and brought here to Aotearoa, New Zealand.
They were taken from their environment, their home and now that they are here. They are doing what naturally comes to all of us....they are trying to survive.
Unfortunately these creatures are the reason for the devastating decline of our forest and wildlife.
